Lesson 8. Google Local Guide

Google Local Guides is a community that collaboratively shares in Google Maps information about places users visit. It allows people to provide reviews, share photos, answer questions, update information, add missing places, or verify information of places they have nearby or have been to previously.  By doing these actions, the contributors earn points and improve their levels and rankings among the Google Local Guide community.  As a reward, Google compensates with some benefits, such as free storage on Google Drive, early access to new Google products and features, and more.

Businnesses can also benefit from Google Local Guides from crowd sourced material, like photos and reviews, for their Google My Business profile.
