Lesson 3. Google keywords

Keywords are words or phrases used to classify digital content. They are shortcuts that describe the content of a web page, and facilitate an online search by matching a page to an appropriate search query.

 

To find the appropiate keywords: think like a customer and make a list of the terms you think your potential consumer would use; when brainstorming be specific and choose words that describe what you do or sell; use a keyword tool as Google Analytics; consider your competition and find keywords for your niche; and go for quality over quantity, that means finding the keywords that describe accurately your product or service. 

 

Keywords are essential to attract traffic from search engines to your website that's why you have to optimise them, which means researching, analizing and selecting the best keywords for your target group. That way you will have more visibility on the results list and more users will click on your page.
